Martins Indi, 23, joined Porto only in the summer of 2014 following an impressive World Cup with the Netherlands where Louis van Gaal was his manager.

Manchester United could be set to offload Argentine global defender Marcos Rojo in January and replace him with FC Porto star Bruno Martins Indi, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Last month, it was also revealed that the Old Trafford chiefs were willing to use to Rojo as a makeweight in the deal with French side Monaco for Anthony Martial but he turned down the move. The 64-year-old responded positively and added: “I love you already, Bruno”.
Like Rojo, the Dutch worldwide is also capable of featuring in the heart of the defence as well as on the left side – where he impressed during the recent Champions League victory over Chelsea (via MEN).
Martins Indi has won 31 caps for Netherlands since his full worldwide debut in 2012 and had played under Van Gaal during his time as country’s coach.
During their first encounter, Martins Indi is alleged to have said: “I would really like to become better”.
Van Gaal was angered by Rojo’s failure to link up with the United squad on their pre-season tour due to “passport issues” and did not consider him for selection until the win over Liverpool on September 12.

The 23-year-old, who joined Porto immediately after the World Cup, has featured heavily for the Portuguese outfit since his move from Feyenoord – and could be ideal for Van Gaal given his ability to play at centre back and left back.
