Mann Ki Baat Government constructing 5 lakh farming pools says PM Modi

Speaking on the ‘Digital India initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the agrarian community in 18th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat programme on Sunday. Mr Modi had water conservation also in his mind with summer knocking on the door and called upon people to conserve and create new water bodies. He asked farmers to send complaint to him if the App lacks any information for them.

He urged farmers to clean ponds in their vicinity for improving the availability of water. World TB day was observed on 24th March. He asked people to do regular medical checkup for early detection and treatment of diabetes. He said there are more than 13 thousand Microscopy centres and four lakh DOTS provider available in the country free of cost. It’s a golden opportunity to establish the country’s identity in world.

There is great potential for employment-generation through tourism. “We are not scared of this disease anymore because we know that it is curable”, he said. He congratulated the Coal India Limited (CIL) for creating an eco-friendly mine tourism destination. Mr Modi expressed happiness for awareness for cleanliness.

PM Modi also said he had some “good news” regarding football. Let it be taken to every village and street of the country, ” he said.

PM Modi emphasises that the youth is enjoying football like EPL.

Modi also congratulated the M.S. Dhoni-led Indian cricket team for their wins against Pakistan and Bangladesh in the ongoing World T-20 tournament and conveyed his best wishes for today’s match against Australia.
