Manning: Broncos offense must ‘carry our weight’

Newton will be making his first appearance in the Super Bowl next month against Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who is playing in the big game for the fourth time. That catch was a 9-yard touchdown in the final game of his rookie season.

“I think he’s (Manning) going to be the sentimental pick in what will likely be his last game, but it’s going to a tough, tough task against this Carolina team”.

“That’s P-Manning, man”, Norman said. They don’t exist anymore. No confirmation on that whatsoever. “We’re on to Carolina”.

While Manning won’t stand as the sole reason Denver could end up winning Super Bowl 50, a great deal of the focus, for better or worse, will be on the starting quarterback for the Broncos. A favorite hasn’t covered the spread in the Super Bowl since 2007 when Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts beat the Chicago Bears by 12 points.

“I said, ‘Mom, guess what? We played in the Super Bowl against a team that had a wealth of playoff experience and Super Bowl experience, and we dominated that football game”. I don’t want to distract from this team at all.

Miller overcame a drug suspension to start the 2013 season and an ill-conceived plan to add 25 pounds, which he now believes led him to tear his right ACL at the end of that season.

Even though it’s been inconsistent, “I like what we’re doing offensively”, Elway said.

“He’s going to know you”.

“But I think the better you are at being a placekicker, the more valuable you are going to be”.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Peyton Manning has said the Denver Broncos find themselves in Super Bowl 50 because of the team’s defense.

And the extreme style split extends beyond game plays and age gaps. On the Broncos’ first play from scrimmage in Super Bowl XLVIII, Manny Ramirez’ snap sailed past Manning for a Seattle Seahawks safety. “If we don’t have our A-game, it could be a long game for us”. That’s critical, especially when [the Broncos] were only rushing three, maybe four guys. “I hope he can win, but [his] impact has already been made, and his legacy should not be affected by this one game”.

“When you see linemen running down the field, as a quarterback you are looking around saying, ‘I have to get on my horse and start running down the field too, ‘ ” Newton told ESPN.com last season.

Kubiak said he’s been able to see Manning enjoying this playoff run.

A neck injury and subsequent surgeries cost Manning a season in 2011 and ended his time with the Colts after 14 seasons.

And Kubiak is relying heavily on input from Manning and defensive captain DeMarcus Ware to set ground rules for the team once everyone arrives in California next week.

Aikman, a Hall of Famer, said Newton has also shown he can handle pressure during his career.
