It’s over with three games to go.
Miami’s record dropped to 5-8, guaranteeing the team its 7th consecutive season without a winning record.
“We have a lead and we have to extend it. If we are down, we have to go make plays to win it. I think guys knew we were going to get in those situations and we have to attack it and not shy away from it, and we made those plays tonight”. The Dolphins have not won a playoff game since going 1-1 in the 2000 postseason.
“I’m just glad he was OK”, Rodgers-Cromartie said.
The one play I want to talk about that viewers may not have noticed was the complexity of his long touchdown to Odell. “I could see both my calves cramping and my quads, (too)”. “To me, that’s how you get motivated to win because you get exhausted of losing and it stinks”. A team with better fortunes than the 2015 Miami Dolphins – basically the AFC equivalent of the most mediocre team in the NFC, the Giants – would have completed that play for a game-tying touchdown. And after working his way into shape to play on Monday (he was listed as questionable), the same happened again.
Yet, ESPN noted that some of his teammates will definitely miss him as he energetically encouraged them during game days and attended several charity events for the team.
Like Pouncey, management has likely started thinking about offseason decisions.
Years of frustration culminated on Tuesday when an unusually soft-spoken Dan Campbell admitted that it’s another failed season in Miami. There will be a new coach, obviously, and new assistants. He declined to speculate about his chances of keeping the job.

“Those are the most disappointing”, Campbell said.
“Those things will be addressed one-on-one with those individuals”, Campbell said. “They’re totally inexcusable. There’s nothing that’s OK about that”.

New York Giants defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins (99) hits Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill (17) during the first half of an NFL football game, Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, in Miami Gardens, Fla. That turned out to be the Dolphins’ last offensive play. Landry was worn down as Tannehill targeted Odell Beckham’s former roommate 18 times over the course of the evening. “Running over there, I saw him at the last minute”.
On that catch, the second-year player showed fantastic footwork in catching the pass dangerously close to the end-zone sideline where he got his first foot inbounds with about an inch to spare while dragging his second foot and maintaining control of the ball.
Run-pass balance was an issue, as it has been all season.
-RUSHING OFFENSE: B – RB Lamar Miller (12 carries, 89 yards, 2 TDs) had a sweet 38-yard touchdown run that was as good as any he has produced. But, fresh off another great performance (seven catches, 166 yards, two TDs, including this insane catch) in a critical win against the Dolphins on Monday Night Football, the Giants wide receiver continues to prove that he’s not just good for the occasional spectacular catch.
