Manning to ‘take some time to reflect’ after win
After the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 win, Peyton Manning name-dropped Budweiser in post-game interviews, immediately sparking speculation about whether the quarterback was making a plug for the beer brand and announcing his future plans.

“I’m going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight”, Manning admitted after the game to CBS’s Tracy Wolfson – after kissing his wife and children he added.
Manning also got in a more subtle placement for his business interests as soon as his Denver Broncos had officially beaten the Carolina Panthers by a 24-10 count. “He was like, ‘You’re kidding me.’ I said, ‘Jim, I’m telling you first because of everything you’ve done for me, my family and the city of Indianapolis’. I promise you that”.
QUOTE OF NOTE: “I think I just happened to catch them on the right day”.
Budweiser’s brewing company, Anheuser-Busch, was ecstatic about the shout-out.
Both ESPN’s Darren Rovell and Anheuser Busch marketing communications head Lisa Weser revealed Manning wasn’t paid to utter “Budweiser” on the airwaves.
“Hi Internet. For the record, Budweiser did not pay Peyton Manning to mention Budweiser tonight”, she wrote on Sunday night.
