Manny Pacquiao wants a rematch with Floyd Mayweather

Work it out. Look at my last few opponents and hes fighting Berto, no disrespect to Berto, who is a friend of mine, but obviously there are levels in boxing.

Mayweather recently appeared on ESPN Deportes’ Nacion ESPN and revealed his all-time rankings.

Former world welterweight champion Andre Berto says he is surprised by all the negative reaction received ahead of his upcoming bout with unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jnr. Maybe boxing fans should just treat this for what it is – a glorified exhibition that will make Mayweather even more millions while completing his six-fight deal with Showtime and making him a free agent should he decide – as most assume he will – to fight on at some point. Buy those ringside tickets or find 75 bucks somewhere that you didn’t spend on Ronda Rousey to watch Mayweather and Andre Berto dance about from the comfort of your own living room.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum who has been eager to stage a big fight card in Dubai has spoken about a possible Pacquiao-Khan showdown in the United Arab Emirates where there is a huge Filipino community and thousands of ex-pats working in Dubai. “A lot of people are criticizing Floyd for fighting Berto, but they shouldn’t criticize him because Berto’s a good fighter”.

“Me and Manny are both fighters”. So if Berto is going to pull off an upset in this fight, Mayweather is going to need to have a really off game for that to happen.

Berto did not mind all the controversy surrounding his selection but was bothered by the questions and talks about him being a boring fighter.

But despite his domination with the high caliber fighters, some boxing experts, writers and observers are still criticizing him especially now that he has chosen Andre Berto for his supposed last fight with Showtime/CBS. It was clear that Mayweather had a respect for Pacquiao that he had not given to any other opponent and, despite some revisionist history claiming otherwise, this was by no means a dominant or one-sided victory for Mayweather. At the press conference over the weekend, Mayweather has already started to justify his choice of Berto in his opening salvo about his his opponent.

“Most people seem to forget that Mayweather has fought 47 times the same way”, Sanchez told the Philippines news network ABS-CBN. He also said that he is contented with 48 and doesn’t really care if he will surpass Rocky Marciano’s record.
