Floyd Mayweather stands firm that there’s been no discussions about a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, saying that Pacquiao is only mentioning his name to try to sell tickets for his next fight.

The LA Times’ Lance Pugmire also says Roach thinks Pacquiao will fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. again because there is so much money for both of them to gain. So then, why does trainer Freddie Roach think Mayweather and Pacquiao will duke it out one more time? “As soon as I return to the Philippines and meet my promoter, we will have something concrete in our hands”, Pacquiao said.
Mayweather has long preferred May for a spring fight and that would coincide with the opening of the new MGM Arena. “They’re not going to let that go, I feel”.
During his interview with CNN World Sport at a charity event in Abu Dhabi, Pacquiao talked about a possible “Fight of the Century 2” to come in the near future. Bradley has to fight Brandon Rios first before he can focus on a third and final fight with Pacquiao.
Powell has received a backlash since his post went viral on Tuesday night, stating Khan had agreed his side of a deal to fight Pacquiao, having beaten off competition from current world champions Terence Crawford and Timothy Bradley. Manny still has to decide who he wants to fight. A new fighter emerged who has a similar personality to Pacquiao and that is Gennady Golovkin.
Pacquiao, meanwhile, has been considering his options while recovering from a shoulder injury which he blames for his lacklustre defeat by rival Floyd Mayweather in May. “‘Mayweather is so boring, he’s this, he’s that!’ I’m boring enough to do the biggest and the best numbers in pay-per-view history”, Mayweather explained.
“I want to see Crawford get that Manny Pacuqiao fight”, said Bradley, who is a close friend to the younger boxer, in a separate Boxing Scene report.
The best way to name drop Mayweather’s name would be for Pacquiao to say that he’s not retiring after April 9th, and that he’ll be looking to fight Mayweather in September of 2016.

A battle between the two would be a good idea so Pacquiao’s fans can “vindicate” themselves if the Filipino wins, but Pacquiao said he will most probably announce his next opponent “late next month”.
