The Maides Park Easter Egg Treasure Hunt promises fun and connection among participants. The event is held March 26 and includes an egg hunt, games with prizes, face painting, and an ambulance and fire truck to explore.
The hunt is for tiny tots, ages one and two, through fourth grade.
The hunt divided age divisions that allowed smaller children to hunt first. All activities, including the Easter egg hunt, were free.
“It’s always a great thing to do”, said event co-chair Steve Dube, explaining the company sees it as a way to give back to the community, both with an event for the kids to enjoy and as a fundraiser for Big Brothers. Wiscasset Parks and Recreation and the WCC truly appreciate our business sponsors and all they do for our community. The event is sponsored by Sheffield Lions Club and St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus. Brunch will follow at Legacy House, located at 79 E. Center Street. The Easter Bunny will be present after the hunt.
Admission is free, but children should bring their own Easter baskets.
The Sea Pines Resort and shops at Harbour Town also will offer a free Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Sunday, at the Gregg Russell Harbour Town playground, adjacent to Sea Pines Resort’s main parking lot and marina shops.
Cottonwood: An Easter egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m., Cottonwood City Park.

Those ages 0-3 years of age may have both parents enter the egg hunt grounds when the egg hunt begins, so that one parent may help collect the eggs while the other takes photos during the event. Also includes photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Children can have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny during the Humane Society Calumet Area’s annual event. Children ages 7-11 can partake in a flashlight egg hunt at 7:30 p.m. March 25.
