Many Injured After Explosion In A Dumpster In Manhattan, New York

This is terrifying. Multiple people were injured in Chelsea, New York City, after a HUGE explosion occurred on the evening of September 17.

An explosion in a trash can at 23rd Street and Sixth Avenue in Chelsea shook nearby buildings and forced the rerouting of subway trains Saturday night.

There is a metro station at that particular junction and hundreds of people were seen fleeing the scene.

An explosion in a dumpster blew out windows and left more than 25 people injured. The facility provides housing, training and other services for the blind.

Several injured were transported to area hospitals, Donald said. The number of people wounded in the blast remained unclear.

Police and fire representatives said they were investigating reports of an explosion.

The blast, according to a Reuters witness, occurred on 23 Street, a major east-west thoroughfare in the fashionable downtown neighborhood of Chelsea. “My first thought was it’s a bomb, Jain said”.
