Manziel’s troubles mount, police open criminal investigation
“We’ve been clear about expectations for our players on the field”. She got an order of protection against him.

Paul Manziel attempts to get his son to enter the Enterhealth Ranch addiction facility in Van Alstyne, Texas, but Manziel does not stay. Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones is no stranger to ignoring controversy (Greg Hardy) and has already expressed interest in Johnny Manziel in the past (considered him in 2013 NFL Draft, rumored to be interested in signing him as a free agent just this past month). Crowley said she met with domestic violence specialists at the Dallas Police Department a day earlier to describe what happened on the night of January 29 and to answer questions.
Colleen Crowley told Fort Worth police that Manziel was “aggressive” toward her after they were out with friends last weekend in Dallas.
She said Manziel became aggressive and hit her several times, including once on the left ear.
Since news broke of Manziel’s second domestic dispute with Colleen that ended in a call to police in the last few months, the football phenom’s career is looking to be in bigger jeopardy than ever before.
After a recent domestic violence incident, Manziel’s father is concerned for his well-being and police open a criminal investigation against the beleaguered Cleveland Browns quarterback.
A source close to Manziel, who spoke to the quarterback on February 5, told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that Manziel “is concerned” about all of the stories about him and said he is doing “all right”. I don’t know what will happen next with this case – that’ll be up to the Dallas Police Department.
“We wish to give Johnny as much support as he is willing to receive, we can’t make anyone do anything”, Troy Vincent, the NFL’s executive vice president of football operations, said Saturday before the NFL Honors show. He spent 73 days last winter in a Pennsylvania treatment center specializing in care for alcohol and drug dependency.
Earlier this week, a top Browns executive said Manziel’s behavior was hurting his team mates, an indication that he may soon be cut by the team.
In Friday’s statement, police suggested the delay in pursuing a formal charge against Manziel rests with the victim, not their lack of investigatory follow-up.
Burkhardt says he will remain supportive of the 23-year-old player.
“His family and I have gone to great lengths to outline the steps we feel he must take to get his life in order”, Burkhardt continued.

There have been questions about Manziel’s mental state following a police report filed by his ex-girlfriend that alleges Manziel hit her repeatedly.
