Manziel starts well, but Browns fade in loss to Seahawks

After Seattle built a 20-10 halftime lead, the Seahawks increased their lead on a 27-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett on the first play of the fourth quarter.

The loss dropped the Browns to 3-11 on the season. The Seahawks defense continues to be as merciless as ever though, and Manziel was forced to run for his life on one play.

The Browns fell, 30-13, in Seattle on Sunday. On top of that, the team has allowed the fourth-most rushing touchdowns and the fourth-highest number of net yards per pass attempt. “He’s playing All-Pro-type football, Pro Bowl-type football”.

Cleveland (3-10) heads into the game with positive momentum after a 24-10 win over San Francisco, but Seattle (8-5) has played better over a sustained period, winning four straight games and six of its last seven. In these 4 video games, Wilson has a passer score of 145.9, with 16 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.

The Seahawks’ quarterback seared the Browns with yet another elite performance. Still, this was a passing line to be proud of as he was 21 of 30 for 249 yards and three touchdowns.

The Seahawks have a relatively hard time covering tight ends and Barnidge has been really great in the middle of the field and in the red zone this year. Baldwin has 61 receptions for 860 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2015. Michael finished with a career-high 84 yards as the Seahawks had 182 overall. “He is made a number of huge performs with throws on the run”.

Now how about Wilson-to-Baldwin? Even without their first and second string running backs Seattle should have no problem against the Browns this week. However, when Manziel’s pass to wide receiver Terrelle Pryor sailed incomplete three plays later, the Browns settled for the field goal.

After a refreshing win at home, the Cleveland Browns go on the road for probably their toughest test of the season against the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks. The play capped an eight-play, 57-yard drive. Baldwin has grabbed all 10 from Wilson, and he became the third wide receiver since 1960 with four straight games with multiple TD catches, joining Calvin Johnson in 2011 and Cris Carter in 1995.

Unlike the previous three playoff trips when Seattle’s success was largely based on the dominance of its defense, this trip to the postseason is on the shoulders of an offense lately can’t be stopped.

Wilson has the all the capability and the tools to lead the Seahawks.

A face-mask penalty on Tramon Williams set Seattle up with one more snap in the first half.

Steven Hauschka hit two field goals in the final 55 seconds of the first half.

With Wilson playing at his best, it has more than paid off for the Seahawks.

Wilson is on a run that statistically stands up among the best four-game stretches in National Football League history. He also demonstrated Wilson-style patience and held back the urge to scramble at the first glimpse of pressure.

The Seahawks traded Christine Michael before the regular season after he was beat out by Thomas Rawls for backup gig, but now the Seahawks have lost Rawls to an injury, and Michael is back in Seattle. He was 20 of 28 for 242 yards.
