Marcell Dareus Reportedly Suspended 4 Games: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction

As usual with a Ryan-led team, the offense should focus on the running game as the Bills look to “Ground and Pound” their way to knocking off the Patriots on top of the division. He drew a one-game suspension in 2015 due to an offseason arrest for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The Alabama Department of Public Safety said the substance was “spice”, or synthetic cannabis.

Dareus avoided trial, during which he would have faced felony drug charges, by agreeing to enter an National Football League substance abuse program. The program included participation in the NFL’s substance-abuse program. The NFL considers those positive tests and the league’s punishment is automatic. Dareus, who has a history with getting in trouble and suspended, knows that words can only do so much, and that actions speak louder. “And that’s what it is”. The Bills can still appeal Dareus’ suspension, but the frequency at which these suspensions are happening could come at a cost to the Bills.

“I’ll say this, the inconsistency – that was there”, Mularkey said. They know what kind of person I am.

Just when fans thought it couldn’t get any worse for the Buffalo Bills and their depleted roster, it got worse. “I can’t expand any more than that”.

“I never even heard about it [Tuesday]”.

“Of course whenever you lose a player like that to a situation like that, it’s definitely disappointing”. It’s not about me. I sacrifice myself for my family. But everyone makes dumb decisions. Nobody’s ideal. And at the same time, hey, just continue to work and move forward. “Talk is cheap”, he added. “I also see this defense is improving”, Ryan said.

“We all care a great deal for Marcell”, Ryan said.

In the seventh, Utley hit a grand slam off Michael Mariot, and fans again cheered him back out of the dugout. “We’re gonna stand by this guy and support him, and hopefully steer him in the right direction”.

“There’s going to be some people that are cynical of him”. “But for the majority of people, it’s more of a show-me thing”.

Dareus says he was notified of his suspension on Saturday after the Bills preseason game against the Colts.

Dareus can still practice with the team, and when he showed up today he was nearly flippant about it.

Now, Dareus will have to sit the first four games of the season, and will put the Bills in a pickle with other key members of the team out of action.

The team may prove me wrong in the near future. Dareus, the third pick of the 2011 draft after Cam Newton and Von Miller, has made two Pro Bowls and was selected first-team All-Pro once.
