There are rumors that Apple will axe MacBook Air in favor of the 12-inch MacBook. It is predicted that Apple may discontinue support and parts replacements for the 2009 Xserve, 17-inch MacBook Pro launched in 2010, and 15-inch MacBook Pro that was released in the same year.

For the next MacBook Pro, the rumours are claiming that Apple will be removing the SD Card slot and the HDMI port. If so, then we will be very disappointed by it as having the SD Card makes our photo editing task quicker to complete. It is also available in a 12-inch variant and a 13-inch variant. The last MacBook Pro came out with few ports but at least they are just enough to fulfil our needs.

There are non-stop talk about the new gadgets that Apple will be presenting in their upcoming event. The MacBook Pro 2016 may instead be released sometime after, possibly at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference scheduled from June 6 to 10, to take place in San Francisco, California. Although it also highlighted in the report that some analysts think that Apple will be holding a separate event for the launch of the new lineup of MacBook Pro. The basis for this theory is due to the fact that the previous model, MacBook Pro 2015, was first unveiled during the Spring Forward event.

However, there is still no word from Apple regarding the details of the two MacBooks. However, many are hopeful that the tech giant will take this opportunity to roll out their new line of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. “But we’ve been getting the sense lately that Apple is trying to play down expectations of upcoming Mac launches, and there aren’t any hints in the invite to suggest laptop-related announcements”, Macworld wrote.
