Marco Rubio ‘Doesn’t Understand’ Why Hillary Clinton Won’t Use the Term ‘Radical

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton’s refusal to use the phrase “radical Islam” in relation to terror attacks is like pretending the United States wasn’t fighting the Nazis in World War II, says GOP candidate Sen.

During the debate former Florida governor Jeb Bush tweeted, “Yes, we are at war with radical Islamic terrorism”.

After then slamming President George W. Bush for saying after 9/11 that the United States was at war with “violent extremism”, Clinton said: “We are at war with people who use their religion for purposes of power and oppression”.

Clinton said American leadership was critical in the effort, with all the diplomatic tools at Washington’s disposal beyond just military might, “but this can not be an American fight”. She was responding to a question about Rubio declaring “we are at war with radical Islam” earlier that day.

Bernie Sanders says, “I don’t think the term is important”.

“I don’t think we are at war with Islam”, Clinton replied. “And yes, we are at war with those people that I don’t want us to be painting with too broad a brush”.

“Let’s not fall into the trap of thinking our Muslim-American neighbors. are the enemy”, he said.

But Sanders retorted, “I don’t think the term is what’s important”. And it requires an entire world to come together, including in a very active way, the Muslim nations.

O’ MALLEY: I believe calling it what it is, is to say radical jihadis.

“Our prayers are with the people of France tonight, but that is not enough”, she said, calling for global resolve to defeat ISIS, “a barbaric, ruthless, violent jihadist terrorist group”.

“America is at its best when we are standing up to evil in this world”, O’Malley said.
