Marco Rubio rules out being anyone’s VP running mate
“Unlike Kasich, our campaign, number one, has beaten Donald Trump over and over and over again”. It takes 1,237 delegates to win the Republican nomination. Rubio left the race with 168 delegates.

“The fact is we have to bring our party together”, Trump, more restrained than usual, said.
“I did well in OH, but I was running against a popular governor”, Trump said Wednesday.
“Then I’ll look at who is standing at that time and make a decision on who I think is best for the country and who also is most electable”, he said. “If you just disenfranchise these people, I think you would have problems like you’ve never seen before”. “I wouldn’t lead it, but I think bad things would happen”.
Without naming names, Trump said some Republican senators who are publicly critical of him have called privately to say they want to “become involved” in his campaign.
In the Democratic race, Clinton’s victories in Florida and North Carolina were expected, but Sanders, a Vermont senator and self-described democratic socialist, had hoped to take the industrial states of OH and IL, both of which Clinton won.
Trump has the support of only one of the nine members of New York’s Republican congressional delegation – Rep. Chris Collins of the Buffalo area – despite the hard-nosed efforts by Buffalo businessman and Trump ally Carl Paladino to recruit more. “I am not going to take the low road to the highest office in this country”, Kasich said on Wednesday.
Winning the race to the White House seems closer for Republican frontrunner, Donald Trump, after sweeping three states that drove his rival Marco Rubio out of the race.
At his victory party following last night’s primary results, Cruz announced he is more than ready to face Trump on his own. He said he believes he will nail down the nomination before the convention and said he couldn’t imagine failing to get the party’s nomination virtually “automatically” in such a scenario.
In Tuesday’s primary votes in five states, Florida Sen. Ted Cruz know it will be all but impossible to capture enough delegates win the GOP nomination.
Cruz will continue to win the hearts, minds, and votes of the uber-conservative right.

“There is virtually zero chance he can even be nominated”, Saul Anuzis, a former Michigan Republican national committeeman who’s advising Cruz on his convention strategy, told POLITICO.
