(CNN) – The high-spending super PAC supporting Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio is not putting in any money for TV ads after Tuesday’s Florida primary, a sign that the Florida senator’s closest supporters are uncertain about his future. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said he expects to return to life as a private citizen in January with no political goals on the horizon.
Rubio’s withdrawal from the GOP primary race is also sure to mean more questions for Martinez about whether she would support Republican front-runner Donald Trump, if Trump were to win the nomination.
Rubio’s staff recorded the Republican lawmaker walking into his office at the Russell Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill to applause from employees.
