Marco Rubio voicemail led Chris Christie to back Trump
He told ABC he had differences with all of the remaining Republican candidates, and believed Trump was the best of those still in the race.

White House hopefuls Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are poised to pass a point of no return on Super Tuesday, if as expected they outrun their rivals on the biggest voting day of the primary season.
Cruz asked Super Tuesday voters to send a message to the other Republicans in the field who they choose to challenge Trump. Mr. Rubio and Mr. Cruz remind people that Mr. Trump had liberal views on abortion and gay marriage.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump arrives to speak in Las Vegas, Nevada, Feb 22, 2016.
How confident is Trump that he’ll be able to pull it off?
And while it may be too much to hope for, Trump could whittle the contest down to a two-man race with Florida Sen.
His fellow presidential hopefuls, Florida Senator Rubio and Texas Senator Cruz, produced the first two pages of their filings to the IRS, which do not include key details about subjects such as their tax deductions.
CNN has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment. “Donald Trump is someone who, when he makes a promise, he keeps it”. Conservative establishment types lean toward Rubio and evangelicals often choose Cruz or retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
How many delegates are offer on Super Tuesday?
To flip the script, Rubio has adopted an all-out assault on Trump’s character and conservative bona fides, an approach he debuted in the final pre-Super Tuesday debate and built on over the weekend.
“Sunday’s distressing performance is just the latest in a string of incidents that suggest to critics that Donald Trump is using bigotry to fuel his controversial campaign”, Scarborough wrote in the article “Trump’s feigned ignorance about the KKK raises disturbing questions”.
It comes after the NY real estate mogul has won three consecutive early contests and is on the cusp of a major, must-win primary battle for Cruz in Texas Tuesday.
You’re favored to win in your home state of Texas. Moderates tend to gravitate toward Ohio Gov. John Kasich. “We’re going to be in as many states as it takes to ensure that I’m the nominee”.
These states are Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia.
But make no mistake: Rubio’s new tack is a fight for survival. You see it in the Bernie Sanders phenomenon in the Democratic Party that people think Washington is an effective and that neither party in Washington is doing anything to help them personally – their take-home pay.
For Clinton, the best case Super Tuesday is a simple one: turning her decisive win in SC on Saturday into a sweep across the South and beyond that will cement the perception that she’s on an all-but-unstoppable march to her party’s nomination.
Should Clinton roll up such margins in the swath of Southern states that vote on Tuesday, it may not matter if she ekes out wins or close second-place finishes to Sanders elsewhere.

The Hawaii Democrat tells NBC’s “Meet the Press” that she trusts Sanders to consider the consequences of any military action. That poll does not account for her blowout victory in South Carolina Saturday, which may well have fatally slowed Sanders’ momentum. He has proposed banning Muslims from entering the United States and declined a journalist’s invitation on Sunday to condemn the Ku Klux Klan, the violent white-supremacist group.
