Marcus Rashford scores hat-trick on England U21 debut
United and City have both won their opening three Premier League games of the season under Mourinho and Guardiola respectively. You could see that he was very comfortable in the environment, but that’s credit to everybody that has been with the team over the last seven days.

Rashford’s England U21 debut treble caps a remarkable rise for the youngster, having also scored on his United, Premier League, Europa League debut and Three Lions debuts. If they don’t match that the group will sort them out quickly.
The England worldwide striker might have struggled for game-time at Euro 2016, but he made his Under-21 bow against Norway last night and scored an effortless hat-trick in a 6-1 victory. It remains to be seen whether Rashford, who scored against City last season, has done enough to get back into the United side.
It was Rashford’s first ever appearance for the U-21 side, and if Sam Allardyce was watching, it could well be one of his last.
Nathaniel Chalobah, Reuben Loftus-Cheek and Lewis Baker also scored. Norway played well, despite the score line.
“It was a good debut to have and I thought the whole team worked hard for the whole 90 minutes, so we got what we deserved with the end result”, he told FATV after the game.
Rashford’s deflected effort then looped into the top corner on 66 minutes, and though Ghayas Zahid grabbed a headed consolation, the 18-year-old completed his hat-trick with a penalty moments later.
“I’d say the penalty was my favourite, to be honest”. I’m sure they mean well, but at least give our ear drums a rest at home youth internationals if we can’t enjoy Wembley.
Martial, Mata and Captain Rooney were far from their best, but we know that they can play a lot better than they did against Hull, so here’s hoping there’s a lot more to come from them sooner rather than later.

He continued: “Many have already benefited from their time with the U21s and to be part of the squad that goes to Russia [World Cup 2018] should be his target – along with the other players I have with me”.
