What were your own feelings about the scenes that didn’t make it into Suicide Squad? While Marvel’s started back in 2008 with the first “Iron Man” film and is plotted through 2019’s “Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2”, DC is still in the early stages with only “Man of Steel”, “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad” released.
Following the fresh release of Suicide Squad, then, the debates that aren’t bent on determining whether the movie was even any good are mostly centered around the portrayal of the characters.
Miller’s brief cameo in the “Suicide Squad” has intrigued many DC fans. Scattered and uneven, it’s got massive plot holes, murky action scenes, an underwhelming villain and a couple characters who have nothing to do but stand around and look grumpy. At the very least, he needed to know exactly what happened to Robin in order to write Harley’s criminal history.
Warner Bros/DC’s “Suicide Squad” has been met with a decidedly mixed reaction – and one of the elements which has proved the most divisive is its representation of central anti-heroine Harley Quinn’s relationship with The Joker. And after one dedicated fan uploaded an unconfirmed list of every scene cut from the film to Reddit, one moment in particular stood out.
Although Margot enjoyed watching everything Leto did as the supervillain she insists any scenes that were cut in director David Ayer’s edit were done so to make the movie more coherent. “I just want to say, join me if you feel the same way”. Period. This is becoming a habit with movie studios, showing epic scenes in trailers that are never shown in the movies.
Jared’s role as The Joker was highly cut for the final edit.
“I really think, underneath it all, he’s kind of a sweetheart.”
We know from previous reporting that Jared Leto was taken aback by the amount of Joker footage that was left out of the film, but now it appears that fans are beginning to make the depth of their disappointment known. We simply didn’t see enough of him in Suicide Squad.
