Mariah Carey gets star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

Today marks a big day for the “We Belong Together” singer, Mariah Carey, who receives her name on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. “I love you, Mommy” he sweetly declared into the microphone.

The billionaire casino mogul was noticeably absent when the pop star was given a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The superstar received the 2,556th star, with directors Lee Daniels and Brett Ratner, and Mariah’s longtime collaborator and Epic Records CEO, L.A. Reid among the guest speakers. “I dedicate this next song to you”.

Daniels went on to call out what most people were thinking.

Via video from TMZ, Carey’s young son opted to steal the spotlight from her as she gazed into the blinking lights that is the soulless cameras of showbiz. “This is a huge honor”, she said. “Vegas is a very hard climate for all singers I would imagine, because it’s so dry here”, she said in a story appearing in Variety’s August 4 issue. All we can do is wait and see when Empire premieres on September 23.
