TBH, it doesn’t quite feel like the holidays unless we experience the emotional ups and down associated with hearing “All I Want For Christmas is You” on repeat every year.
That’s because it was revealed on Monday that her Holiday classic All I Want For Christmas is no longer the most played Christmas song in the country!
That said, “Wonderful Christmastime” definitely has all the makings of a winning holiday song – spirited lyrics, a catchy chorus and bells ringing in the background. The former Beatle’s version is ranked much lower on the list curated by PlayNetwork; he comes in at number 17.
The Shins’ cover of Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” is now number one, according to PlayNetwork. “The songs themselves transcend demographics, which is why we see the same titles a few times but performed by different artists”.
