Instead, her adorable twins – four-year-old Monroe and Moroccan Cannon outshined the Elusive Chanteuse. Lee Daniels was on hand to congratulate her latest accolade and announced that the Billboard Queen will be guest starring on season 2 of Fox’s hit series, “Empire”.
“I thought you already had a star on the Walk of Fame”, Daniels said. For the most part, famous people have not come on the show to simply be some sort of exaggerated version of themselves, but within the music world. Keen to be centre of attention, Moroccan was carried away crying while his mother laid down alongside her new star as members of her entourage fanned her.
Even the paparazzi didn’t seem fazed by the interruption, as one can be heard shouting, “Turn the plaque!” instead of, you know, that human thing of “aw, how cute!”
Next up was Daniels, who directed Carey in Precious and noted that this honor was long overdue.
