Pop icon Mariah Carey’s older sister was arrested on a prostitution charge in a small town in NY state, police say.

Sinagra went on to say that Carey had been advertising online – using lyrics from Mariah’s 1995 song Fantasy – and was working from a Sautergies hotel for about a week.
Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra told the newspaper that Alison Carey identified herself as the sister of superstar performer when she was arrested.
She was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
A source tells PEOPLE that Mariah and Alison had been estranged “for years”.
Hopefully Alison gets the help she needs, with or without the assistance of her famous sibling.
According to past articles on the Internet, Alison Carey has prior arrests for prostitution. Accordingly, Saugerties police are urging any actual Johns having sex with Alison to get themselves examined. The Daily Freeman reports one ad contained two photos of Carey along with the following message, which references Mariah’s “Fantasy”.
The relationship between Mariah and Alison might be strained past the point of no fix, but hopefully, Carey, who’s worth hundreds of millions of dollars and is engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer, can support her sister to get the help she needs.
