“That obviously kept us in the game, that was an unbelievable save, a highlight save”, Hossa said.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) – Marian Hossa scored 1:08 into overtime, Artemi Panarin had a goal and two assists and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 on Wednesday night for their third consecutive victory.

The Pittsburgh Penguins look like a sluggish, deflated team right now and is another road game the Oilers could come out of with a win.

After the Hawks let a 2-0 lead slip away, Shaw scored the go-ahead goal at 11:44 of the third period past Andres Nilsson.

Jordan Eberle, Benoit Pouliot and Leon Draisaitl found the back of the net for the Oilers (6-12-1), who have lost three in a row and are once again sitting last in the National Hockey League standings.

Taylor Hall was shut out against the Blackhawks but has two goals and two assists in three games since. With Oilers defenseman Griffin Reinhart in the box for boarding, Chicago defenseman Duncan Keith streaked in off the point to redirect a pass from right winger Patrick Kane, the NHL’s leading scorer.

Drew Stafford’s second-period tally, his sixth goal of the season but just his first since October 25, stood as the victor for the Jets. “Even though the game was nearly over with a few minutes left, that kind of save gives a boost to the bench and when you are up on the next shift, that definitely gives you an extra boost”.

Edmonton clawed back shortly after with Brandon Davidson springing Eberle on a breakaway and he beat Crawford high to the glove side.

Teuvo Teravainen left the game with what the Blackhawks called an upper-body injury. “But that doesn’t happen”, said Oilers head coach Todd McLellan.

Since losing 2015 top-overall pick Connor McDavid for “months” with a broken clavicle in a 4-2 win over Philadelphia on November 3, the Oilers have dropped four of five.

Justin Williams also scored for Washington, while goaltender Braden Holtby made 25 saves.

Barring an unlikely playoff matchup, Wednesday was the last time the Hawks will face the Oilers at Rexall Place before they move to a new home next season.
