Mariners reach one-year deal with OF Nori Aoki
The Seattle Mariners have agreed to terms with lefty outfielder Nori Aoki, according to John Heyman of CBS Sports.

One team that reportedly has interest in Aoki is the Seattle Mariners. The agreement is pending a physical.
The people spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday on the condition of anonymity because the deal had not been finalized or signed.
He played two seasons for the Milwaukee Brewers and one for the Kansas City Royals before he was acquired on a single-year contract by the Giants in January. Aoki’s playing time was limited due to separate DL stints related to a broken leg and a concussion. He ended up on the disabled list again because he suffered a concussion from it.
He made $4 million last season with the Giants, who declined to pick up his option, perhaps in part because Aoki is considered a bit of a liability defensively.
In four major league seasons, Aoki has a career line of.287/.353/.386 with 91 doubles, 16 triples, 24 home runs and 156 RBI.
De Fratus, 28, has spent his entire career in the Philadelphia organization, drafted in the 11 round out of Ventura College (CA.) in 2007. He was 0-2 with a 5.51 ERA in 61 appearances in 2015. De Fratus had an excellent 2014, going 3-1 with a 2.39 ERA in 54 appearances, but struggled in 2015. Seattle already signed Chris Iannetta as a free agent with the intent of making him the starting catcher.

He returned August 20 and appeared in 13 games (11 starts) but was still bothered by the effects from the concussion.
