Mario Maker update brings checkpoints for those super hard to beat courses
This highly-requested feature will allow the player to start from a certain point in a level to finish it from there. This can be discouraging during long levels, as players must repeat previously completed challenges before they can get another shot at later segments. There are plenty of hard levels in Super Mario Maker that are fun to play, but need those features to keep players interested. As indicated in the website, the update will introduce “Event Courses in the game’s Course World online hub”.

And on November 4, the game is getting a major update with tons of great new stuff.
The update will let users add mid-level checkpoints (flags) to maps. Those levels are made by “partner creators”, says Nintendo, the first of whom is Facebook with the related “Ship Love” level.

Right, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, did you know that “Super Mario Maker” has a secret game hidden within its level editor? Super Mario Maker was released on September 11th of this year. Additionally, other changes will come alongside checkpoints: power-ups can be specifically tailored to match Mario’s state, so that either mushrooms or fire flowers will come out of boxes depending on his size. There will also be a new level of difficulty “Gnat Attack” mini-game that has players swatting bugs away. This means that a small Mario can get a Super Mushroom from a box, while the larger Super Mario will get a useful Fire Flower from that same box, for instance. However, many of them mention one major flaw in the game’s course creation system – the lack of checkpoints. With only two full months to go, this would mean one has to be coming soon more than likely, as it would make sense to use one to hype the holiday releases coming in November and ending with Xenoblade Chronicles X in December.
