The deal will mark the Hulk character’s latest appearance on the big screen since this year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. What is known is that it will be “off-planet” – not set on either Thor’s home of Asgard or Banner’s Earth.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased that the movie will be featuring a major gamechanger.

Just days after JoBlo.com told us the Hulk was coming to Thor: Ragnarok, news outlets like The Hollywood Reporter are confirming that report. Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor in the upcoming Marvel film. Could we have a Planet Hulk scenario? To date, no further Hulk movie has been produced by the studio-Universal, rather than parent company Disney, now owns the distribution rights to any standalone Hulk films.

Hulk has not found much grounding in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So now the question is, will audiences cheer or yawn if the Hulk appears to help out Thor in “Ragnarok”? For a while, it seemed like we might not get more Hulk until Avengers: Infinity War in 2018 and 2019.
