Mark Sanchez to Broncos as QB dominoes begin to fall
The Broncos, who lost Peyton Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to free agency, have acquired quarterback Mark Sanchez from the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2017.

The Broncos have aquired Mark Sanchez from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Stephenson said he’s just what coach Gary Kubiak wants up front in his zone-blocking schemes, saying he likes athletic linemen, “so I think I’ll fit in perfectly”. “I’m very thankful. I’m very appreciative for everything that the Denver Broncos organization has done for me, but at this point in time in my career, I feel like the Houston Texans give me the best opportunity to be successful”.
No, the Broncos aren’t done doing what they’ll do, but less than 12 hours after Osweiler was formally introduced as the Texans’ new franchise-quarterback hopeful, the Broncos showed they, too, have already moved on.
O’Brien flip-flopped quarterbacks early in 2015, benching Hoyer for Ryan Mallett only to later release Mallett and call on T.J. Yates and street free agent Brandon Weeden when Hoyer suffered a concussion.
And when he signed his mammoth four-year, $76 million deal with the Houston Texans, it left Denver and Elway with little in the way of palatable options.
Quarterback Brock Osweiler agreed to terms with the Houston Texans, leaving the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos without a starter.
That’s probably not the name most Broncos fans were expecting to see, as evidenced by the very first reply to Klis’ news-breaking tweet.
However, if he does stay in Denver, I would not worry just yet. He got off to a slow start last season because of a toe injury, but finished with 720 yards and five TDs. But this move could be the start of something for the Broncos. Packaging a deal with Sanchez and a draft pick for Kaepernick would make sense.

That is the key, “if”, because the Broncos’ quest for quarterbacking answers is not done, and may well only have begun with Sanchez and Trevor Siemian.
