He said: “One of the things I am most excited about my trip to Lagos is going to check out Nollywood”.

However after visiting Rome, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reached Nigeria, which is the social networking giant’s largest African market.

On his Facebook page, Zuckerberg said that presently, the social media application allowed the use of Hausa language.

He reiterated Facebook’s desire to get everyone in the world connected online in the next 10 to 15 years. Zuckerberg thrilled Nigerians by walking around the streets of Lagos without any signs of armed guards or heavy security.

“Our first stop is the Co-creation Hub Nigeria (CcHUB) in Yaba”.

Zuckerberg said that at the CcHUB Nigeria, he was able to talk with kids at a summer coaching camp and entrepreneurs who came to the Hub to build and launch their apps.

However, running a business in the country has always been tough for young entrepreneurs such as Bosun Tijani and Femi Longe, who co-founded the hub Zuckerberg visited in 2011.

“We also discussed the importance of connecting people, especially in parts of the world without internet access”, wrote Zuckerberg, with an estimated net worth of $53.7 billion as of this month. Zuckerberg is expected to meet with tech entrepreneurs and interact with the local tech community during a series of events.

‘”Thanks for such a warm welcome”.

“This is my first trip to sub-Saharan Africa”.

“The energy here is wonderful and I am excited to learn as much as I can, ” he said.
