Talking about the meeting he wrote: “We talked about last week’s quake and how the Facebook community in Italy and around the world has come together to help people recover and rebuild”.

The Facebook CEO further said that he and wife Priscilla talked with the Pope about Internet connectivity and its requirement in various parts of the world.

He said the social media platform now allows the use of Hausa language on Facebook.

Zuckerberg posted a picture of himself and Pope Francis on his Facebook page, along with a message describing the visit.

The Facebook founder gave Pope Francis a miniature model of Aquila, which is a solar-powered aircraft. The innovative plane, with a wingspan greater than a 737 passenger jet, is created to beam Internet even to the world’s remotest areas.

Mark Zuckerberg joked with reporters when he told them that his wife wasn’t happy with the robot butler.

Zuckerberg wrote: “We shared our work with the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to help people around the world”.

Francis, who has called the internet “something truly good, a gift from God”, has met several times with top tech leaders, such as Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc., and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple.

“It turns out that one of those challenges was a lot easier than the other”, Zuckerberg said in a town hall event in Italy.

The model of the Aquila was tied to the men’s discussion about “connecting people, especially in parts of the world without internet access”.

“For your generation to live in a better world, there is so much more our generation can do”, the parents wrote in the letter. The couple went to a wedding of a friend near Lake Como, where Spotify co-founder Daniel EK was also seen, according to The Daily Mail. The Facebook CEO also said it would help him visualize data for his virtual reality efforts.
