Markets Right Now: Energy companies lead US stocks higher

Metals prices rose, sending mining companies higher.
The S&P 500 gained 7 points, or 0.3%, to 2,119, moving less than 1% off its record of 2,130.82, set May 21, 2015.
The S&P 500 was up 0.15%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.19%, and the Nasdaq rose 0.14%.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite was up 13 points, or 0.3%, at 4,974.
Bond prices rose. The yield on the 10-Year U.S. Treasury note slipped to 1.70 percent.
Caterpillar jumped 1.6 per cent Wednesday, one of the biggest gains in the Dow Jones industrial average.
The S&P 500 stock index inched higher at the open Wednesday as it makes another run at a new all-time high amid another move higher in oil prices but fresh worries about the health of the world economy.
Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) futures are trading above fair value this morning, as stocks rise alongside oil prices.
The Nasdaq is up 19.24 points, or 0.4 percent.
US oil is up 1.7 per cent at $51.21 a barrel in NY.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 72 points, or 0.4 percent, at 18,010.

Bond prices rose. The yield on the 10-Year U.S. Treasury note slipped to 1.71 per cent.
