The company operates cruises under the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Pullmantur, Azamara Club Cruises, CDF Croisières de France, and TUI Cruises brand names.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCL) reported quarterly earnings results on Tuesday, Aug-2-2016. Excluding restructuring-related charges and other items, adjusted per-share earnings were $1.09, above company expectations for per-share profit of roughly $1. The business had revenue of $2.11 billion for the quarter, compared to the consensus estimate of $2.17 billion. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $0.20 EPS.

Vetr upgraded Royal Caribbean Cruises from a hold rating to a buy rating and set a $84.42 price target on the stock in a report on Monday, April 18th.

Fain said the softness in China wasn’t due to falling demand but rather an increase in cruise ship capacity in the Asia-Pacific market. In a research note released on June 07, 2016, analysts at Sterne Agee CRT issued its first rating on the stock at Neutral. Looking ahead, the company expects third-quarter adjusted EPS of $3.10, below the FactSet consensus of $3.38, and 2016 adjusted EPS of $6.00 to $6.10, compared with expectations of $6.23.
