Marouane Fellaini claims Manchester United are in ‘crisis’ after Watford loss

Manchester United are lagging in the Premier League after their fixture vs Watford and Paul Pogba has a message for supporters.

It was the first time United had lost three in a row since the unlamented Louis van Gaal presided over four successive defeats in December a year ago.

There was talk of a mini-crisis last Thursday when Manchester United lost to Feyenoord in the Europa League and it could soon be upgraded to a full-blown crisis following yesterday’s defeat at Watford.

Zuniga had not even been on the pitch for a minute when he was picked out by Roberto Pereyra with seven minutes remaining to restore Watford’s lead after Marcus Rashford had cancelled out Etienne Capoue’s first-half opener.

However, Watford responded thanks to Juan Zuniga’s goal after coming off the substitute’s bench before Troy Deeney added a third from the penalty spot.

If Rooney doesn’t start United’s next Premier League game against Leicester at Old Trafford on Saturday, Mourinho has got a lot of other options.

The former Chelsea coach was referring to the challenge of Manchester City keeper Claudio Bravo on Wayne Rooney following a loose touch, and believes that referee Mark Clattenburg should have sent the ex-Barca shot-stopper off. I knew I had a task. This is a tactical thing but is also a mental attitude and it’s something that you don’t go there and make everything become ideal in a couple of weeks.

“[Aleksandar] Kolarov has the ball in a hard situation in the corner and my player instead of going up and pressing decides to give him space”. I feel some individuals feel too much pressure and responsibility, but by the collective point of view I only have good things to say about “hem”. Today for the second goal, [Nordin] Amrabat on the right side, our left back is 25 metres distance from him, instead of five metres. It’s something that doesn’t become ideal in a couple of weeks.

“So no doubt we have to improve individually and collectively”.

Mourinho was unable to confirm if French winger Anthony Martial suffered a concussion in a first half collision with Watford’s Daryl Janmaat. His main strength is to tear forward at any opportunity, but it looks as though Mourinho has him playing in a straitjacket’. “Not at all. I was completely aware that we were not ideal, with lots of players who are not end products and can make their own mistakes”.
