Marseille coach Bielsa denies contact with Mexico
Apparently Bielsa reached his decision to resign from his post on Wednesday, news that really won’t sit well with fans or players who are watching their club suddenly left scrambling to replace their manager just one match into the season. I have finished my work here. “I gave my resignation in a letter that I turned in to the president prior to coming to speak to you”.

Olympique Marselle manager Marcelo Bielsa has resigned after the first match of the season.
OM’s Twitter account carried several quotes from Bielsa’s press conference.
Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda said Bielsa’s resignation was a huge shock. “He was someone that was important to the club and the team”. We are disappointed. We don’t know the ins and outs of it, we don’t know what has happened.
The hosts struck early on thanks to a brilliant instinctive finish by Valere Germain, who is on loan from his parent club of Monaco.
Promoted Angers began life at the top table with a terrific 2-0 win at 2012 champions Montpellier.
Abdoul Camara fired home the opener on three minutes and Gilles Sunu wrapped up the points late on with a debut goal to cap a memorable evening for Stephane Moulin’s side.
Marseille, which finished fourth last season but allowed Andre-Pierre Gignac, Andre Ayew, and Jeremy Morel to leave, dominated the second half, yet could not find a way past goalkeeper Remy Vercoutre, who made a fine save to tip Abdelaziz Barrada’s shot off the post with two minutes remaining.
