Android 6.0 Marshmallow continues to expand its reaches to new models, and throughout the past couple of days, Google’s latest Android release has just recently hit both the Moto G 2nd Gen in the USA, as well as the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 on Verizon’s network. It is actually quite common with Android upgrade rollouts to have some carriers receive the upgrade before others.

Motorola announced Moto E (2nd Gen), Moto G (3rd Gen), Moto G Turbo, Moto X Force and Moto 360 (2nd Gen) to be available via Amazon India starting March 1.

It looks like Motorola is really making strides in upgrading its users with some new Android goodness.

Some major features in Android 6.0 include Google Now on Tap, doze mode and granular permissions aside from user interface improvements and overall fixes. After the software version is updated, users can either wait for the second part to arrive via OTA, or check the Settings and About Phone tabs for the 24.14.10, which contains the official Android Marshmallow version. The report from Tech Radar states that the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) is now getting the upgrade on Sprint, Verizon, as well as US Cellular. With this feature turned on, owners of the Droid Turbo 2 can transform their microSD cards into internal storage, meaning they can use the expanded memory to install and run apps.

We don’t imagine that the 2014 Moto G will get any further updates after this Marshmallow update, so enjoy the benefits that it brings.
