Martha Stewart and Snoop Dog to host joint dinner party series

I don’t really get where the term “competition” comes in because that was not at all indicated in any description for the show that I’ve seen, but I’m just rolling with it (pun intended). Snoop made an appearance on Martha Stewart’s show back in 2008, where he helped her make mashed potatoes-the whole thing was basically her bossing him around while he threw out some catchphrases.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture’s biggest icons”, commented VH1 and Logo President Chris McCarthy.

“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity”, Martha said in a statement.

Each week on the show Snoop and Stewart will host an evening of cocktails, cuisine and conversation with a few of their famous friends, according to the network. “We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends”, Snoop Dog said.

“I’m a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I’m a stoner”, he proclaimed.

This wouldn’t be the pairs first attempt at cooking together either.

“Our new show is rizzle, dizzle for shizzle”, added the Stewart, imitating the West Coast slang popularized by Snoop. The show will consist of Martha and Snoop hosting, you guessed it, dinner parties!

Snoop and Stewart have a long history together, with the rapper appearing multiple times on Stewart’s talk show, and both appearing in last year’s roast of Justin Beiber. “Martha and Snoop´s Dinner Party” is now being recorded and will premiere this fall.
