The Viacom-owned cable network has gone straight to series on Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party, a weekly series in which Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg throw a joint dinner party. They may seem mismatched, but actually their dynamic works well because you expect that it wouldn’t.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture’s biggest icons”, said VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy. (He and Stewart both have criminal records, which is also part of the joke). So Amber Rose will tell stories about stripping while Snoop sits on a couch and never takes off his sunglasses. The series is slated to premiere on VH1 this fall.
“My homegirl Martha and I have a special bond that goes back”, added Snoop Dogg.
Snoop and Stewart have appeared together on screen before, as they most recently showed up on ABC’s $100,000 Pyramid game show. They’re amusing together. Whatever.
