Martin Guptill hits ton as New Zealand crush South Africa
The teams drew the Twenty20 series 1-1, with South Africa taking the first game and New Zealand coming back to win the second.

The Senwes Park in Potchefstroom will host the second One-Day global (ODI) between South Africa and New Zealand.
Guptill’s 103 off 134 balls was his highest score against South Africa in ODIs.
The visitors dominated, shredding the South African total of 204 all out with five overs to spare and setting up a decider in Durban in the third and final match. The previous record of 114 was set by Mark Greatbatch and Rod Latham – Tom’s father – in Auckland during the 1992 World Cup.
The tourists never looked troubled in their reply as a 126 run opening stand between Guptill and Tom Latham (64) laid the platform for the emphatic win.
Milne removed both openers, Hashim Amla for eight and Morne van Wyk for two, and when Bracewell had Rossouw out to an easy catch to mid-off, New Zealand had South Africa 68-3 and in big trouble.
Doug Bracewell earlier took ODI career-best figures of 3-31 for New Zealand to help restrict the South Africans.
New Zealand made three changes.
However, part-timer Grant Elliott (1-25) got the prized wicket of AB de Villiers (31) chipping a simple catch to midwicket. New Zealand, meanwhile, will be hoping to stay alive in the series, and in order to do so, they will have to pull up their socks and come up with a disciplined performance.
It left the tourists with few problems to secure victory, even when captain Kane Williamson departed cheaply and George Worker had time to compile 20 not out.
Only middle-order batsman Farhaan Behardien found any sort of fluency as he accumulated a neat 70 from 87 balls to give the home side some sort of target to defend.

“We didn’t play the ideal game the other night but we only just got beaten chasing 300 so everyone’s still pretty upbeat”, he said.
