Maruti crosses 1.2 lakh units sales in October, 2015
Sales of mini segment cars, including Alto and WagonR, increased 5.2 per cent to 37,595 units as compared to 35,753 units in the year-ago month, Maruti Suzuki said in a statement.

Honda Cars India reported the highest growth among PV makers in October. Previous year Maruti Suzuki sold 1,03,973 which included 97,069 units sold in the domestic market and 6,904 units exported.
Maruti Suzuki also sold 9,435 Utility Vehicles – a category that has seen the recent addition of the first real SUV from India’s largest carmaker – the S-Cross. All-time high sales of Grand i10 and continued strong performance of Creta & Elite i20 helped achieve highest monthly number, said Rakesh Srivastava, Hyundai’s Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing.
Sales of vans – Omni and Eeco – rose 30.8 per cent to 13,677 units in October this year as compared to 10,453 units a year ago.
“We expect the growth momentum to continue in the coming months with improving customer sentiments and hence have planned to reduce wait time for customers”, he added.
Auto sales have been buoyed by new models and the festive season which started with Ganesh Chaturthi on 17 September.
In the two wheeler segment Eicher Motors Ltd logged 73 percent sales growth selling 44,522 units (domestic 44,138 units, exports 384 units) as against 26,039 units (domestic 25,510 units, exports 529 units) sold during October 2014.
The automobile manufacturer’s sales during September rose by 3.7 percent year-on-year to 113,759 units.

“The growth trend was driven by the cars segment, specifically the new launches”, the company said. The newly launched facelifted version of the Ertiga MPV seems to be very promising for Maruti Suzuki.
