Maruti Suzuki unveils Vitara Brezza at the Auto Expo
The Vitara Brezza is also the first product from Maruti that is fully developed in India by its in-house R&D team. With this new sub-4 metre SUV, Maruti Suzuki aims at expanding on the Vitara brand that is already on sale in the worldwide markets.

Maruti Suzuki India unveiled the all new Vitara Brezza SUV at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida on Wednesday.
With its compact size and looks, Brezza is clearly focussing on the young and middle-aged Indians but auto enthusiasts would mostly agree that categorising it as any form of SUV would be more to attract buyers than an attempt to create a new segment in the Indian market.
He added: “Built on a global Suzuki platform, Vitara Brezza has been conceptualized, designed and developed in India using Suzuki’s global development processes”. The dual tone exterior gives the vehicle a floating roof design.
Flanks will get square shaped wheel arches, 16 inch alloy wheels and tapered window frame. Transmission duties will be performed by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Vitara Brezza will be launched shortly and the price is expected to start from Rs 7 lakhs.
Talking about features, the auto will have no shortage on that front with guide lamps, projector type headlamp, Daytime Running Lamps, skid plates up front, reversing camera with parking sensors, keyless entry, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and more. The ‘(O)’ variants can be opted with a passenger side airbag, ABS with EBD and Front seatbelt pretensioner with force limiter. Unlike the recently launched Baleno and S-Cross, which are retailed through the premium channel Nexa, the latest offering will be available across all the Maruti dealerships.

The model will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300, besides being pitched against Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta which are priced in the range of Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 13.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
