The superhero phase of Paul Rudd’s career may live to see another movie. While the end credit tease in “Ant-Man” was nice, a brief glance at her super-suit was definitely just that – a tease.

All that excitement aside, the announcement of the sequel does mean that a couple of Phase three films are going to be changing their release dates. Three unannounced movies have been slated for May 1, July 10, and November 6 respectively.
Marvel notes the upcoming film marks the first in which a heroine is a title character. Beyond that, we’re not sure where Ant-Man and The Wasp can go, or who they might battle.
In order to make room on Marvel Studios’ already crowded release calendar, the company also announced that Black Panther would move up from July 6, 2018 to February 16, 2018, which places it before the release of Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1, which will still open on May 4, 2018.

Simply announcing an Ant-Man 2 would be enough to send Marvelites into a tail-spin, but the studio went one step further today by filling up a trio of release dates in 2020. Rudd’s Ant-Man will next appear in next summer’s Captain America: Civil War. So don’t be surprised if 2020 brings us another Spider-Man, Doctor odd or The Black Panther.

“Captain Marvel” has also been reschedule from November. 2, 2018 to March 8, 2019. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Three and is considered the eighth installment in the current lineup of MCU’s films.
