Marvel Announces Ultimate Captain America Marathon Event
An opening of that size would put it in line with the foreign launch of Avengers: Age of Ultron at US$212 million.

The film starring Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans has brought in big numbers after starting its overseas roll out in 37 markets, including France and Korea, on Wednesday.
The cast of the movie includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Paul Rudd is Ant-Man and Anthony Mackie will play Falcon.
A battle royale between the two factions unfolds just as a diabolical new enemy, Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl), threatens mankind. The marathon begins, appropriately enough, with 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, then goes straight into 2012’s The Avengers, followed by the first Cap sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and finishing up with Avengers: Age of Ultron as the lead-in to Captain America: Civil War.
We also can conjecture, for instance, that Spider-Man doesn’t ultimately have much of an impact on the plot because the actual Spider-Man movie will eventually come from Sony, not Disney. “You have to work really hard on Captain America to find those vulnerabilities”. The scene that forms the highlight of “Civil War” is maybe the climax of the Marvel movie project so far.
Almost every other theater in Milwaukee will be showing “Captain America: Civil War” starting Thursday night. For The Russos to have balanced the requirements of faithfully adapting one of Marvel’s most adored event arcs with the need to tie up The Winter Soldier story, add more characters AND lead in to Infinity War is stunning.

These are the most crucial movies to get Civil War viewers caught up, even if they aren’t the only films needed to do so. This summer, get ready for some more fast-paced action when the Greatest Patriot the World Has Ever Known takes on his biggest challenge yet – his once friend, comrade, and fellow Avenger – Iron Man / Tony Stark. But the Russo brothers do it flawlessly (thanks to a 146-minute running time), giving us layered performances while also telling a story about principle and loyalty that never feels rushed.
