Marvel Reveals New Doctor Strange Synopsis

“Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe”. In the comics, he’s a minor character who was actually an apprentice of Baron Mordo, acting as a messenger and agent for the sinister magic user.

When Mads Mikkelsen was cast in Doctor Strange last summer, his role was described as a villainous one, though exactly which antagonist he’d be playing was left unsaid.

Mads Mikkelsen gave away that his Rogue One character is Felicity Jones’ father, yet managed to stay more tight lipped on his Doctor Strange villain and what his name is. This is a trend that Disney Infinity started after the second Captain America was released, and he resembled his look from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was a big enough bummer before, but now that Infiniteer Adventures has dug up a near-final render of the planned Doctor Strange figurine, it’s even worse.

With production wrapped on both films, Marvel have now released new plot descriptions for their next two films: Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. And Doctor Strange is exactly the kind of character that would warrant a slightly risky stage on which to ponder infinity, reality, and all that good stuff. With a wide an extensive library of films and properties ranging from classic films, to the newer CG flicks, plus Marvel and Star Wars, it felt like the series was untouchable.

Benedict Wong (Marco Polo) will play Strange’s sidekick, Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave) a familiar adversary named Karl Mordo.
