Marvel’s Kevin Feige explains ‘Black Panther’s’ link to ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Thankfully, Marvel’s head honcho Kevin Feige was on hand to give a few hints about the importance of the Prince of Wakanda’s very own solo adventure, the last entry into Marvel’s Phase Three films before we head into Marvel’s two-part Avengers: Infinity War.

The Marvel president also shared some insight on the next Thor film revealing that the movie will be quite different from the first two.

The new Peter Parker film may reportedly seem “small scale” compared with the other Phase Three movies, which include “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and “Captain America: Civil War”, to name a few. “It’s a big geopolitical action adventure that focuses on the family and royal struggle of T’Challa in Wakanda, and what it means to be a king”, Feige explained.

Finally, Feige spoke about Black Panther, which will star Chadwick Boseman in the title role and feature a “primarily African-American cast”, and have a connection to Avengers: Infinity War.

“T’Challa’s story is very important to us as it links to the next “Avengers” films”, Feige says. Whether it will be the Time Stone or the Soul Stone remains to be seen. It will be quite the test for the emerging Creed and Fruitvale Station director, Ryan Coogler.
