According to Variety, Marvel’s Most Wanted has gotten a pilot order from ABC. But instead of billing the new project as a S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff, the network is calling it an entirely new pilot, centered around Bobbi Morse (Palicki) and Hunter.

In the episodes leading to the end of season two, the series began to show the development of Skye’s powers. Then, shortly before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. concluded its second season, ABC announced it wasnt moving forward with the project. It’s not clear when or where it would premiere and whether or not it’d be introduced through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

No plot details are provided, but there’s a chance that at least part of the narrative will feature flashbacks to the couple’s early days leading up to them getting together.

Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb will also act as an Executive Producer. But it sounds as though Adrianne Pallicki and Nick Blood might not leave the cast of Agents of SHIELD, as usually happens with characters on a spin-off series.

Marvel’s Most Wanted” hails from “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski.

Sources tell THR that it’s too soon to determine how – or if – the potential new series would be launched as a backdoor pilot in the upcoming third season of Marvel’s first ABC scripted drama.
