The only Michelle in comics is Michele Gonzales, a character introduced in Marc Guggenheim’s Amazing Spider-Man run as Peter Parker’s roommate.
Venom is being envisioned as a franchise apart from and unrelated to the upcoming Spider-Man movie in the works with actor Tom Holland.
This iteration will be directed by Jon Watts (Clown, Cop Car) and produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. To comic fans’ delight, the character will be rebooted with the more popular Marvel shared cinematic universe in this summer’s “Captain America: Civil War“. Dante Harper (Edge Of Tomorrow) has thus been hired to pen a fresh Venom screenplay, with The Amazing Spider-Man producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach overseeing the project.
Zendaya has been caught in the web of Sony’s “Spider-Man” reboot. Sony’s Columbia Pictures label will back the sinister nemesis to the popular arachnid-based hero Spider-Man. It’s also possible she could just be an original new character created for the movie who just happens to be named “Michelle”.

Despite the popularity of the first two Raimi films, I’ve yet to watch a SPIDER-MAN flick that “did it” for me. “It is sort of the safety net for geeks like us, so I think we can totally relate to where he’s coming from”.
