Redmayne, the lead actor of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, asked the audience to shout the incantation for the light-up spell “Lumos Maxima” to unveil a new trailer.
San Diego’s Comic-Con is a colourful mix of dedicated comic fans and a treasure trove of upcoming film trailers and new projects in the works.
Not to be outdone by a spectacular display from DC Comics, Marvel left Hall H buzzing on Saturday night – unfurling the studio’s new trailer for this fall’s “Doctor Strange”, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, and announcing that the Oscar-winning Brie Larson has been cast as Captain Marvel.
The casting of Tilda Swinton as a Celtic “Ancient One” caused an uproar among some fans, as the character is of Asian origin in the comics. At the panel for the film, not only was the new logo for the film shown, but Coogler came out with Boseman and Jordan, along with confirmed co-stars Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia and The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira as Okoye, both characters serving as bodyguards to Boseman’s Wakandan hero. Marvel’s multiverse was established within the pages of “Captain Britain”, where it was discovered that every Earth within the multiverse had a protector that was part of the Captain Britain Corps.
“It’s very, very different and the scale is something else”, Cumberbatch said. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we have confirmation on Sylvester Stallone’s involvement but no word yet on exactly what role he’ll play.
The film’s director, John Watts, said during the panel: “It’s a straight up high school movie”.
It’s a bit unfortunate that we have to wait until 2017 for Justice League and Wonder Woman but at least we’ll soon get to see Suicide Squad, a movie that might end up being a game changer when it comes to comic book adaptations.
“Yes he takes himself seriously we need that for the fall he suffers which is major before his rise to becoming a superhero, but you’ve got to care about the guy, not just because he’s having all kinds of trauma inflicted on him, but because he’s fun”.

Pratt, who reprises his turn as “Star Lord”, took the stage alongside other cast members including Michael Rooker, who appeared as the Ravagers gang’s chief mercenary Yondu Udonta in costume and full blue body paint.
