Mason Cole named to 2016 Rimington Trophy watch list
Like Rawlings, Conyers, a Miami, Florida native, can play both center and tackle effectively and that is certainly a positive after the loss of Laremy Tunsil, who was drafted in the first round by the Miami Dolphins. Since its inception, the Rimington Trophy has raised over $2.6 million for the cystic fibrosis community. The trophy committee will use the Walter Camp Foundation All-America team, Sporting News All-America team and Football Writers Association of America All-America team to determine a victor.

Memphis sophomore Drew Kyser was one of 62 centers named to the Rimington Trophy’s fall watch list Wednesday. For more on the Rimington Trophy and a list of past recipients, visit www.rimingtontrophy.com. The victor will be honored at a ceremony in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 14. The 6-1, 295-pound Utter helped Nebraska rank among the top three in the Big Ten in rushing, scoring and total offense in his junior season.
Pocic earned Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week twice in 2015 with great performances at Mississippi State and against SC. Memphis converted third downs past year at a rate of 48.8 percent, eighth in the NCAA.

A graduate of Opelika High School, Kyser is one of four starters returning to the offensive line from last season. The Gamecocks play their first home game on Saturday, Sept. 17, against East Carolina. New this year at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium is the addition of wider chair-back seats along both sidelines.
