Massimiliano Allegri: I expect Paul Pogba to be at training tomorrow

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said Friday the club will wrap up its offseason transfer business by signing a “very good midfield player” before the opening weekend of the Premier League.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at Arsene Wenger and Jurgen Klopp for questioning his club’s spending this summer.

“We are going to sign one more player, that’s for sure”, Mourinho is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has said there is “no point” in talking about a replacement for Paul Pogba, adding that the France worldwide would be back in training with the club on Monday.

‘Players don’t hold deals up, they either want to go or they don’t. We made decisions. We brought four players, not 10, who are Man United level and can really improve the squad.

“The market closes on August 31 but my club try to do everything to close our market by August 14”.

“But the players are players and, without losing their identity, they always try to adapt to what the manager wants”. Mourinho hit out yesterday after Wenger claimed it was “completely crazy” to spend a world record fee on the Juventus star.

Former Manchester United winger Nani believes Paul Pogba can be a fantastic addition to any club regardless of his huge price tag as speculation continues that a move to Old Trafford is imminent. Normally, next week, we will have our squad closed.

And he admits it will be hard to change the mind-set of his Manchester United players after the Dutchman’s two-year spell. This is the profile of our market. I am happy with my squad.

Mourinho only had players who participated in Euro 2016 involved in the last two fixtures and has expressed concern about the way preparations have gone in the build-up to United’s Premier League opener at Bournemouth on August 14. “The others it is their problem”.

Despite already having signed Eric Bailly from Villarreal for £30 million, Mourinho is understood to be determined to add further to his defence ahead of the new Premier League season.
