NEW YORK (AP) – The main body of a fire that heavily damaged a historic church in New York City has been knocked down. He has been going to the church for seven years. Authorities did not say what caused the fire. The historic church was consecrated in 1855 and was designated as a New York City landmark in 1968. Flames bit through the roof as crews with the FDNY battled the four alarm fire, officials said.

It added that no injuries had been reported, and that firefighters were engaged in an “exterior operation due to heavy fire throughout the church”.
